Job Title: Patient Care Technician Emergency Department
Location: North Bergen NJ
Job Type: Travel Assignment
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our Emergency Department team on a travel assignment. This position involves providing quality care in a fastpaced environment supporting patients and working collaboratively with healthcare providers.
Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 3 x 12hour shifts per week every other weekend holidays as needed
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: 12/02/2024
Responsibilities:
Assist nursing staff with patient care duties such as monitoring vital signs performing EKGs and phlebotomy. Ensure patient comfort and safety while providing highquality care. Support Emergency Department operations and assist in various clinical tasks as needed. Maintain accurate records adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with facility standards.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications: Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) and certification as a Nursing Assistant Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician with coursework completed in phlebotomy EKG and nursing assistant skills in both theoretical and clinical settings.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of recent PCT experience in a hospital setting preferably with acute care experience. Familiarity with EPIC software preferred.
Pay Details:
Estimated Pay Per Hour: $29
Hourly Rate: $18
Weekly Stipend: $391.23
Gross Weekly Pay: $1012
Additional Information:
OnCall: No oncall requirement.
Block Scheduling: Not permitted.
