Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Geometric Urban Engineer or Technologist to join a leading civil engineering consultancy specializing in transportrelated services and urban infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geometric design urban planning and transportation systems contributing to the development of sustainable urban environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Geometric design: create and refine geometric designs for roads intersections and pedestrian facilities to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
- Project management: manage project timelines budgets and deliverables while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Collaboration: work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including planners environmental specialists and construction engineers to achieve integrated project outcomes.
- Community engagement: facilitate community engagement processes to gather input and ensure designs align with user needs.
- Technical analysis: conduct traffic studies and analyses to inform design decisions and improve urban mobility.
- Regulatory compliance: ensure all designs adhere to local regulations and engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Masters or PhD preferred.
- Professional registration as an Engineer (Pr. Eng) or as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) is required.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in geometric design within the urban transport sector.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles and practices.
