Key Stage 1 SEN Teacher SEN School Acton

A dedicated SEN school in Acton is seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to provide tailored educational support for young learners with additional needs. Role Highlights

  • Work closely with experienced SEN staff and support professionals fostering a collaborative approach to meet each childs specific needs through individualized education plans (IEPs) and personalized learning strategies
  • Develop a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe supported and encouraged to explore learn and build foundational skills that will aid their longterm academic journey
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and SENfocused training enhancing your ability to apply the latest methodologies and strategies in special educational needs teaching to meet diverse learning needs effectively
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly providing feedback to families SEN support staff and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on each childs growth and adjust strategies as needed for optimal development

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Key Stage 1 ideally with prior exposure to special educational needs (SEN) to bring empathy creativity and flexibility to your teaching approach
  • Patient and creative approach to teaching young learners understanding the need for adaptability and sensitivity in meeting the varied needs of each child
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills enabling effective work with SEN staff teaching assistants and families to provide a wellrounded support system for students
  • Commitment to inclusive education with the ability to create and adapt lesson plans that build confidence and encourage skillbuilding in a way that resonates with each childs unique learning style
  • Enhanced DBS check required to ensure the highest standards of safety and wellbeing for all students within the school environment
