Job Description

Primary SEN Teacher (KS2) Inclusive School Notting Hill

An inclusive SEN school in Notting Hill is looking for a dedicated KS2 Teacher to join their team bringing creativity and structure to lessons that engage students with additional needs. This permanent fulltime role is ideal for a committed teacher eager to foster both academic and social growth in a compassionate supportive environment. Role Highlights

  • Permanent fulltime teaching role within a supportive SEN environment in Notting Hill focused on fostering inclusive learning experiences that nurture confidence curiosity and skillbuilding in Key Stage 2 students with additional needs
  • Develop and deliver engaging accessible lesson plans tailored to support diverse abilities and learning profiles using creative teaching strategies that make learning enjoyable and meaningful for each student
  • Work collaboratively with SEN staff teaching assistants and specialists to assess and adapt lesson plans according to each childs progress ensuring alignment with individualized education plans (IEPs) and specific learning goals
  • Create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that celebrates achievements and encourages students to explore build social skills and develop a sense of belonging and independence
  • Engage in continuous professional development accessing SENfocused training opportunities to stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies ensuring you provide the most effective and inclusive support for your students
  • Regularly assess student progress maintaining open communication with support staff parents and other stakeholders to adapt instruction and provide the best possible learning experience for each child

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven Key Stage 2 experience ideally within an SEN setting to bring added insight and empathy to supporting students with unique learning needs
  • Empathetic and organized teaching style that combines structure with flexibility creating a safe and encouraging space for students to grow at their own pace
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with SEN professionals teaching assistants and families building a strong support network that benefits each childs development
  • Creative approach to lesson planning with the ability to design adaptive and engaging activities that focus on academic progress social engagement and skillbuilding in a way that resonates with each learners interests and abilities
  • Enhanced DBS check required to uphold the schools commitment to student safety and wellbeing
