Job Description

KS2 Teacher SEN School Wood Green

A supportive SEN school in Wood Green is seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to inspire and empower students with additional needs through innovative and accessible learning approaches. In this fulltime permanent role you will play a pivotal part in creating a stimulating environment where each child can thrive academically and socially.

Role Highlights

  • Fulltime permanent teaching role in a dedicated SEN setting that values individualized education and student wellbeing
  • Design and implement engaging differentiated activities aimed at developing both academic skills and essential social competencies ensuring that each lesson caters to the diverse learning styles of your students
  • Collaborate closely with a team of SEN professionals including support staff and educational psychologists to adapt teaching methods and resources that meet the unique requirements of each student
  • Foster a positive inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation curiosity and a love of learning helping students build confidence and resilience
  • Utilize ongoing assessments and observations to track student progress adjusting instructional strategies as necessary to support continuous improvement and achievement
  • Participate in professional development opportunities focused on SEN strategies and best practices to enhance your teaching skills and effectiveness in the classroom

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in KS2 teaching; experience in an SEN context is highly desirable but not mandatory
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching with the flexibility to tailor lessons and activities to meet the varied needs of students with additional learning challenges
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues parents and external professionals to create a cohesive support system for each student
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes equal opportunities for all students regardless of their individual challenges
  • A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students in your care
