Primary SEN Teacher (Mixed KS1 & KS2) SEN School Finchley
A vibrant SEN school in Finchley is seeking an enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to support a diverse group of mixedage KS1 and KS2 students in developing both academically and socially. In this fulltime permanent role youll help create a positive learning environment where students with unique learning needs can build confidence enhance their abilities and reach their individual goals.
Role Highlights
- Fulltime permanent role within a dynamic and inclusive SEN school dedicated to individualized learning and holistic student development
- Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student fostering both academic progress and socialemotional growth
- Work closely with a team of SEN professionals including support staff and therapists to tailor learning strategies and provide cohesive support to each child
- Cultivate a nurturing engaging classroom atmosphere where students feel valued encouraged and motivated to actively participate in their learning
- Benefit from continuous professional development opportunities including specialized training in SEN practices to enhance your teaching techniques and knowledge
- Monitor and assess each students progress adapting approaches as needed and maintaining open communication with parents and SEN specialists to ensure aligned and effective support
Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary teaching; prior exposure to SEN settings is advantageous but not required
- A commitment to inclusive education with a proactive approach to student engagement and the flexibility to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Patience empathy and strong organizational skills enabling you to support students across a range of academic and developmental abilities in a constructive individualized manner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating effectively with support staff therapists and families creating a unified approach to each childs growth
- A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is required to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
