Job Description
Humanities Teacher Sought for Reputable Secondary School in Manchester
We are delighted to partner with a wellrespected secondary school in Manchester as they seek a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join their faculty. This fulltime permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire young minds and cultivate a love for history geography and social studies.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills of students through the delivery of engaging and comprehensive Humanities lessons. The role entails:
- Designing and implementing dynamic lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and schools educational philosophy across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity encourages active participation and supports diverse learning styles.
- Assessing student progress through a variety of methods providing constructive feedback to guide their development.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Maintaining uptodate knowledge of current educational research and pedagogical approaches.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant Humanities subject such as History Geography or Social Studies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level.
- A passion for the Humanities and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
