Job Description

A wellregarded primary school in Kingston upon Thames is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team starting January 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with young children at a crucial stage in their development in a nurturing environment that values early childhood education and personal growth. As a Nursery Teacher youll play a vital role in fostering curiosity social skills and a love for learning.

Our nursery pupils are curious energetic and eager to explore while the staff are committed to providing a warm inclusive and supportive environment that encourages each child to thrive. We are looking for a Nursery Teacher who can create engaging developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Responsibilities of the Nursery Teacher:

  • As a Nursery Teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care and development of young children creating a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Planning and delivering interactive playbased learning experiences that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and meet childrens developmental needs.
  • Promoting social emotional and cognitive growth helping each child build confidence independence and early learning skills.
  • Observing and assessing childrens progress keeping accurate records and providing regular updates to parents and carers regarding their childs development.
  • Working collaboratively with the Early Years team to provide a consistent highquality learning experience in the nursery.
