Job Description

A highly regarded primary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated KS2 Intervention Teacher to join their team starting in January 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to work with supportive staff and make a meaningful impact on KS2 student progress through targeted intervention sessions.

As a KS2 Intervention Teacher you will play a vital role in supporting students who need additional help to reach their academic potential through tailored intervention strategies.

About the Role:

  • Position: FullTime KS2 Intervention Teacher
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Start Date: January 2025

Key Responsibilities of the KS2 Intervention Teacher:

  • Working closely with KS2 pupils who need extra support in literacy and numeracy planning and delivering targeted intervention sessions tailored to individual needs.
  • Using assessment data and teacher input to identify KS2 students requiring additional intervention and tracking their progress to ensure consistent growth.
  • Collaborating with KS2 class teachers to ensure intervention strategies align with the broader curriculum and classroom goals.
  • Creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment that helps KS2 children build confidence and achieve academic growth through intervention.
  • Communicating with parents and carers to keep them informed about their KS2 childs progress and providing strategies for additional support at home.
