Job Description
Location: Hounslow West London
A forwardthinking secondary school in Hounslow is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher to join their Social Sciences department from January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students with a fascination for the human mind and behaviour equipping them with the tools to understand themselves and others.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and thoughtprovoking Psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 introducing students to the core concepts and theories of psychology.
- Foster a curiosity about human behaviour cognition and emotion encouraging students to explore different perspectives and engage in critical analysis.
- Create a stimulating learning environment where students feel confident to discuss psychological issues and apply their knowledge to realworld scenarios.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a rigorous and stimulating Psychology curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Incorporate a range of teaching methods and resources including experiments case studies and research projects to enhance student understanding.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their academic development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK ALevel Psychology specification.
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Psychology.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- A passion for Psychology and a commitment to fostering critical thinking and scientific inquiry in young people.
