Job Description
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham West London
A dynamic and forwardthinking secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Teacher to join their thriving Modern Languages department on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students with a love of language and culture equipping them with the skills to communicate effectively in an increasingly interconnected world.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your experience.
- Foster a love of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures in students encouraging them to develop their communication skills in listening speaking reading and writing.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident to experiment with language and explore different cultural perspectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative Spanish curriculum that reflects current trends and best practices.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their language acquisition and cultural understanding.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Modern Languages.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Spanish.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- A passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures and a commitment to fostering global citizenship in young people.
