Primary Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role with primary responsibilities that include patient vitals EKG phlebotomy and nutritional counseling. We value team players with clinical skills and experience in insurance and VOB. Exercise knowledge a plus. MUST also be bilingual.
Counseling Duties:
Conduct initial consultations to understand each patients health history weightloss goals and dietary needs.
Develop tailored meal plans to support each patients weightloss journey and accommodate any dietary restrictions.
Offer advice on healthy eating habits portion control and food choices that align with their goals.
Ensure exceptional patient service by maintaining a friendly environment greeting patients and upholding outstanding standards.
Work with doctors and other medical staff to ensure patient plans align with any medical treatments.
Train additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician.
Participate in clinic marketing efforts and provide ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.
Clinical Duties (varied based on credentials):
Obtain patient vitals EKG and perform phlebotomy.
Administer IM injections.
Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain patient laboratory results.
Assist physicians or midlevel practitioners with patient referrals to other healthcare professionals.
Document patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
Conduct followup calls to patients to discuss progress and address concerns.
Perform other clinical duties as required.
Requirements:
To excel in this role you should have:
Medical Assistant certification.
Clinical experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
Prior experience or knowledgein nutrition or diets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
