Opera is seeking a forwardthinking Senior Marketing Director to lead the growth of our Opera Desktop Browser division. This pivotal role requires strong people management skills to guide inspire and develop teams of senior marketing professionals while driving Operas continued growth and brand expansion particularly among younger techsavvy audiences. This role is a secondline management position responsible for overseeing and guiding other managers. As Marketing Director you will play a crucial role in growing Operas reach brand awareness and engagement within these key user groups.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a growthfocused marketing strategy integrating product marketing brand awareness performance marketing and influencer partnerships. Ensure Opera remains at the cutting edge of marketing trends and technologies.
- Global Marketing Operations: Lead all global marketing initiatives including budget management and performance optimization to meet and exceed quarterly and annual KPIs. Ensure that investments align with strategic priorities and deliver optimal ROI.
- Innovation and Growth: Identify and leverage new growth opportunities from emerging digital channels to enhanced audience targeting to maintain Operas competitive advantage in the browser space.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage a team of senior marketing professionals fostering a culture of creativity innovation and excellence. Optimize team structures to drive efficiency and enhance strategic outcomes.
- Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work closely with product management gaming and mobile divisions to align marketing initiatives with broader product goals. Ensure cohesive brand experiences across all platforms and touch points.
- Brand Building: Develop and lead fullfunnel costeffective brand awareness campaigns that clearly communicate Operas unique value propositions. Strengthen brand equity driving user acquisition engagement and longterm loyalty.
Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a 2nd Line Manager overseeing managers and leading seniorlevel marketing teams across multiple locations.
- Strong track record in fostering team growth creativity and operational excellence.
- Deep experience in brand development product marketing performance marketing and influencer partnerships.
- Ability to design and execute growthoriented fullfunnel marketing campaigns that drive measurable ROI.
- Proven success in managing global marketing initiatives including budget planning and performance optimization ensuring resources and investments align with strategic objectives for maximum impact.
Ideal Candidates Profile:
- Experience in the businesstoconsumer (B2C) technology sector is required with strong insight into market trends and consumer behaviour.
- Experience in startups or fastscaling businesses with a demonstrated ability to adapt and scale operations effectively.
