An experienced Senior Android Developer you have a proven track record in creating native mobile applicationsthat users love from scratch. Youll need a deep understanding of building applications that are truly exceptional. With your qualityminded approach and expertise in architecting highscale apps you can build applications products and services that push the limits of whats possible.
About the role
Following the successful launch of our iOS app were looking for our firstever Senior Android Developer to join our newly formed app team andcreate an Android experience from scratch.
Youll build & maintain a 5star mobile app experience for our most loyal users to get the highest possible engagement from them. Ensuring that the app is worldclass in terms of user experience developer experience performance & security.
Lead initiatives ensuring the app exceeds Android standards & Material Design guidelines.

Were lucky to have thousands of usergenerated listings submitted monthly with content gems from James Bonds Aston DB5 to Elvis Presleys Cadillac. The site is old launched in 2005 but under new VCbacked ownership since 2018 and on an exciting tripledigit growth journey to bring classic vehicle transactions online.

Were looking for a Senior Android Developer who has good relevant experience and wants to make their mark in a rapidgrowth business where they can make a real difference whilst enjoying the environment and culture.
Role and responsibilities:
- App Development: Lead the development and delivery of an Android application from scratch ensuring it meets the specified timelines and quality standards.
- Architecture: Architect and maintain a scalable and efficient codebase for the Android app ensuring flexibility for future updates and enhancements.
- App Quality: Strive for excellence in user satisfaction by aiming for a 4.5 rating on Google Play Store based on feedback from hundreds of reviewers.
- App Engagement: Implement iterations to drive a 50% higher conversion rate on the mobile app compared to the website contributing to increased user engagement and business success.
- App Metrics: Work towards achieving and maintaining key performance indicators including higher Conversion Rate (CR%) and Monthly Active Users (MAU) while ensuring a consistently high review score on the Google Play Store.
- Technical Project Management: Continuously selflead projects towards success regardless by helping and mentoring the rest of the team to maintain focus on planned work.
The skills attributes and experience you must have:
- Spearheaded groundup app development with wellthought architecture and longterm maintainability in mind to create robust Android applications.
- Kotlin Maestro: Crafts sophisticated code advancing the frontiers of Android development.
- Location and Interaction Specialist: Masterful with Location APIs for pinpointing GPS accuracy designing engaging notifications and leveraging the latest Android SDKs for live features.
- Proven track record of engineering highscale 5star Android apps with top Play Store ratings powered by REST APIs.
- Material Design Expert: Deeply versed in Googles Material Design Guidelines to deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences.
- Project Ownership Advocate: Demonstrates commitment to project ownership overcoming challenges to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perfectionist in Performance & Aesthetics: Passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences with pixelperfect designs optimised performance and smooth animations.
- Testing Champion: Integrates automated testing to maintain highquality standards.
- Collaborative Team Player: Thrives in collaborative settings effectively working with crossfunctional teams to bring design concepts to life ensuring alignment with project goals and user needs.
