Job Description
Job Title: Test Automation Engineer (Kafka and Shift Left)
Location: Warsaw with home office
Employment type: B2B
We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer with a strong background in testing Kafkabased applications. This role focuses on implementing Shift Left testing principles to drive early defect detection and prevent issues in the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java Spring Boot Cucumber and test automation frameworks like Playwright as well as proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for building scalable test solutions we would love to have you on our team.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for Kafkabased applications ensuring comprehensive test coverage and early defect detection
- Apply Shift Left testing principles by integrating testing early in the development lifecycle to identify and prevent defects proactively
- Create and manage automated tests using Java Spring Boot and Cucumber
- Utilize Playwright for endtoend testing with JavaScript/TypeScript
- Design build and maintain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks
- Execute and analyze performance and load testing with tools like JMeter
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration with CI/CD processes and maintain testing pipelines
- Perform manual testing as needed to verify software functionality and quality
- Ensure code versioning and project management using GIT
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in test automation with handson experience in Kafkabased applications
- Strong expertise in Shift Left testing practices with a proven track record of early defect detection and prevention
- Proficiency with Java Spring Boot and Cucumber for test automation
- Experience with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure
- Experience in CI/CD processes and GIT version control
- Background in manual testing and a strong understanding of testing fundamentals
- Excellent problemsolving skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently
