Description
The Chemist (GC and amp; HPLC) position at our food processing facility in Kottayam Kerala is a vital role responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products through rigorous laboratory analysis. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree and substantial experience in chromatography techniques particularly Gas Chromatography (GC) and HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). This role demands a keen analytical mind and attention to detail to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough chemical analyses of food products using GC and HPLC methods.
- Prepare and standardize reagents and solutions for laboratory tests.
- Document and analyze test results ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure product quality meets regulatory standards.
- Participate in method development and validation for new testing procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Provide training and guidance to junior lab technicians.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related field.
- 520 years of relevant experience in laboratory environments preferably within the food processing industry.
- Strong expertise in GC and HPLC techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in food safety.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficient in data analysis software and laboratory information management systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a teamoriented environment.
