Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Lead to manage and oversee various project categories within our manufacturing division. The role involves driving successful project completion with a focus on OnTime InFull Quality (OTIFQ) delivery aligned with client and market requirements. This position will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure adherence to delivery timelines implement innovative productivity solutions and continuously enhance manufacturing processes for customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead projects across categories such as EP Projects Export Projects Domestic Projects Live Simulators (e.g. TacSim MMHG ACTS Hand Grenade HE30) Virtual Simulators (e.g. CWTS IWTS IVTSS) and Driving Simulators (e.g. DTSALS DTSUDS).
- Ensure projects align with client requirements and the OTIFQ standards by coordinating with the Marketing and Client Relations teams.
- Oversee project milestones from initiation (ION BoM release) through procurement production planning IPQC (InProcess Quality Check) and logistics for dispatch.
- Scheduling & Resource Management
- Plan and monitor project timelines including purchase planning scheduling of deliveries production start dates resource allocation and logistics.
- Drive ontime project completion by aligning project resources and CFT (CrossFunctional Teams) to manage constraints and proactively address challenges.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Use advanced problemsolving methodologies such as Six Sigma and emerging technologies like AI and Cobots to drive productivity improvements and enhance product quality.
- Lead initiatives in manufacturing innovation with an openness to learning and adopting new technologies to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Ensure 100% OTIFQ delivery performance meeting Key Result Areas (KRAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide daily updates to management on project progress addressing any support needed (e.g. supplier payments).
- Monitor and report on project metrics ensuring alignment with company objectives and client satisfaction goals.
Requirements
Qualifications and Key Competencies:
- Education & Experience: B.Tech in Mechanical Manufacturing or a related field with proven project management experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of OTIFQ requirements.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Six Sigma Lean methodologies or other quality/process improvement tools. Familiarity with advanced technologies such as AI automation and Cobots in manufacturing is a plus.
- Leadership & Coordination: Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving abilities with a strong capacity to coordinate across departments and lead crossfunctional teams.
- Analytical & Customer Focused: Strong analytical thinking commitment to continuous improvement and a customercentric approach with a drive for excellence in delivery and innovation.
