Job Description
Are you a proactive Web Developer with a strong foundation in modern web development and an eye for detail We re looking for a MidLevel Web Developer with 35 years of experience to join our team and take on a vital role in managing enhancing and migrating our web platforms.
Role Overview:
In this role you ll be responsible for managing our existing eCommerce websites and a custom business solution application as well as leading the migration of an older website to Next.js. Youll collaborate with our team to ensure a seamless scalable user experience while keeping our codebase uptodate with the latest best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance current eCommerce websites to support business needs
Oversee the smooth operation and development of our custom business solution application
Lead the migration of legacy websites to Next.js modernizing our tech stack
Collaborate with designers developers and stakeholders to deliver projects on time
Ensure highquality code and adherence to industry standards
Essential Skills:
To thrive in this role you ll need expertise in:
JavaScript strong core knowledge
React.js building interactive responsive interfaces
Vue.js comfortable developing with Vues reactive framework
Next.js experienced in serverrendered and static web applications
Gatsby.js familiarity with fast optimized static site generation
Express.js backend development and RESTful API integration
GraphQL querying and updating data from a centralized API
PHP solid experience with serverside scripting
AWS managing cloud services and deployments
REST API developing and consuming RESTful APIs
Bonus Skills:
Additional skills that would be advantageous include:
Contentful working knowledge of headless CMSs
Algolia implementing search functionality
Firebase experience with realtime database and hosting
MongoDB Realm handling database operations with NoSQL
Netlify Functions serverless function development
WordPress/WooCommerce understanding of CMS and eCommerce plugins
Swagger experience with API documentation tools
Jest unit and integration testing in JavaScript
