Job Description
- Architecture Strategy Development: Define implement and maintain the application architecture strategy ensuring alignment with Provincial Treasury s IT roadmap and the broader Application Transformation Readiness (ATR) project.
- Assessment & Optimization: Assess the current financial applications landscape identifying areas for optimization modernization and consolidation.
- Application Performance Management (APM): Lead the implementation of APM tools and techniques to monitor and improve the performance of applications within the Treasury s IT environment.
- Scalability and Maintainability: Design applications to be scalable secure and easily maintainable while ensuring alignment with the Treasurys evolving business needs.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with IT business teams and senior management to understand requirements and ensure the application architecture supports the overall business strategy.
- Leadership & Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and infrastructure teams ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and standards.
- ProblemSolving & Innovation: Proactively identify potential performance issues or bottlenecks and implement solutions to resolve them. Stay up to date with emerging technologies to foster innovation.
- Change Management: Support change management activities and facilitate smooth transitions as new applications or systems are introduced
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing and implementing enterprisegrade applications.
- Proven experience leading largescale application transformation projects especially in the public or financial sector.
- Strong experience with Application Performance Management (APM) tools and techniques.
- Expertise in application architecture design patterns and integration methods.
- Experience in working with financial systems and understanding their business processes.
- Strong understanding of application scalability security performance and maintainability.
- Ability to assess and optimize complex application landscapes.
- Deep understanding of financial systems architecture and integration (e.g. SAP Oracle Financials IFMS).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and related technologies.
- Excellent leadership problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into actionable solutions for stakeholders.
- Experience with financial systems (IFMS SAP Oracle Financials etc.).
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF Zachman etc.).
- Certification in APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace AppDynamics)
