Job Description

Position: Construction Foreman

Location: Mandeville LA

We are seeking a skilled an experienced Construction Foreman to lead our water utility construction projects with a focus on quality safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a comprehensive understanding of water and wastewater processes. As a Construction Foreman you will oversee and participate in the daily operations on the job site ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction workers and subcontractors.

  • Manage project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Oversee budgeting processes to maintain financial control over projects.

  • Ensure quality control measures are implemented throughout the construction process.

  • Execute work on open work orders and pending construction projects

  • Supervise and assist with water and wastewater line repairs new line installations and other work as directed.

  • Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

  • Read and interpret construction and engineering plans

  • Collaborate with the regional manager and the engineering department to develop project plans and timelines.

  • Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and performance.

  • All other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar role within the water and wastewater industry.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and regulations.

  • Familiarity with quality control practices and procedures in construction.

  • Experience using heavy machinery such as trenchers backhoes etc

  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams.

  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently while maintaining a positive work environment.

  • OSHA certifications
