Job Description
Job Title Python Backend Engineer (AWS))
Location Remote
Experience 6 12 Years
Requirements:
- Develop and optimize backend APIs using Python and FastAPI to ensure smooth scalable operations.
- Architect and implement eventdriven applications leveraging AWS services and best practices.
- Design build and maintain streaming APIs for highthroughput data processing.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers product managers and other stakeholders to deliver secure and efficient services.
- Optimize and refactor code for maximum performance scalability and reliability.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend services and APIs.
- Ensure proper integration with AWS services such as Lambda SQS SNS Kinesis and Dynamo DB.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members to ensure high code quality and adherence to standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in backend engineering with a strong focus on Python.
- Proficiency in Fast API for building and managing APIs.
- Solid experience with AWS cloud services (e.g. Lambda SQS SNS Kinesis Dynamo DB S3 etc.).
- Demonstrated experience working with eventdriven architectures and streaming APIs.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design gRPC and related protocols.
- Experience with database management (NoSQL and SQL).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools infrastructureascode (IaC) and version control (e.g. Git).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with other backend frameworks (e.g. Django Flask).
- Knowledge of event processing frameworks like Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.
- Experience with AWS monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Cloud Watch XRay).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
