Job Description

Job Type : Full Time Location : Geneva New York Pay : Great Pay Benefits! Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Prepare schedules ensuring adequate coverage to meet the needs of the department.
  • Work in the staffing pattern as necessary and rotate oncall.
  • Process payroll.
  • Systematically monitor productivity and quality of work to ensure that individual and team goals are met.
  • Perform focused reviews as required.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures and other tools necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Verify daily census to ensure the accuracy of census statistics.
  • Monitor duplicate medical record numbers created and insurance errors that delay claims processing.
  • Correct errors provide feedback and training and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Experience you will need:

  • Prior medical office experience.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of the revenue cycle and accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to include CPT and ICD10 coding.
  • Previous experience with cash collections and balancing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently type/enter data accurately.
  • Preferred: Experience in supervision training process improvement employee scheduling conducting staff meetings and participating as needed in various committees or workgroups.
  • Experience in preparing and conducting employee evaluations and three years of experience in Patient Access and/or Patient Financial Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex multientity multicultural health system.
  • Ability to facilitate project management work effectively under pressure meet deadlines manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
  • Excellent leadership interpersonal communication (written and oral) analytical and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Computer literacy required with word processing spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulatory requirements and JCAHO standards.
  • Bilingual capability.
  • High School Diploma.
  • One year of experience in a medical office.
