Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and create a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
Maintain a clean and organized work area following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of sushi orders with other menu items
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Stay updated on current food trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into sushi creations
Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests and addressing any questions or concerns
Skills:
Strong culinary skills with a focus on sushi preparation techniques
Knowledge of different types of fish seafood and other ingredients used in sushi dishes
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and slicing of ingredients
Experience in menu planning and creating new sushi roll combinations
Familiarity with bartending techniques for creating specialty cocktails to pair with sushi dishes
Understanding of food production processes including proper food handling and storage procedures
Proficiency in inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels of ingredients
Ability to work well as part of a team and provide leadership when necessary
