1. A High School diploma or equivalent with 1 to 3 years Operating a Saw in a production environment.
2. Basic reading writing and arithmetic skills required. 3. Must be able to properly read measuring tape. 4. Forklift Experience is a plus. 5. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handheld technical devices. 6. Knowledge of the manufacturing processes procedures and machinery. 7. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. 8. Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require overtime when needed. 9. Employee must be able to respond to call outs when required. 10. Employee must be detail oriented.
Responsibilities:
1. Set up the saw machine and making adjustments for each job according to Work Order.
2. Set stops or guides to specified lengths. 3. Operate the saw machine keeping an eye out for any defects or issues to be reported.
4. Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
5. Help transportation of blanks and cut pieces.
6. Accurately complete paperwork and data entry to our internal ERP.
7. Maintain production operations in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
8. Upkeep of working area at all times.
9. Assists Inventory Control for verification of counts and material.
10. Verifies loaded pipe on entry table is correct.
11. The employee is responsible for the proper storage of cut pieces / blanks.
12. Communicating to Supervisor any problems with material supplies and/or spaces.
13. Employee must follow all PPE policies and safety rules. 14. Employee must report to his immediate supervisor for briefing on daily tasks. 15. Assist with loading unloading and verification of material. 16. Employee must maintain good housekeeping ethics. Work area must be free and clear of debris. 17. Document verify and record production via ERP Software System and/or hard copies. 18. Other duties as assigned.
