As Product Owner Platform within the Area of Transaction Monitoring you can have societal impact by building the best platform to enable analytics models. These models are processing Rabobank transactions of 8 million customers to detect Financial Crime. You will lead a multidisciplinary squad of Data PowerBI and Test AutomationEngineers and an Analytics Translator.

You and your job

Imagine yourself in in the middle of a rapidly changing environment and model landscape in the Area of Transaction Monitoring (TM) Detection Tribe Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Tech. This Area is responsible for protecting the bank and our customers worldwide from the negative effects of financial crime. As a Product Owner together with your squad you have a profound impact on the TM area by being responsible for maintaining and improving the platform in our TM model ecosystem. In practice this means that you have a big responsibility in ensuring that our platform is robust and future proof by improving the data quality and data control framework. The squad is technically driven while enabling the translation of functional requirements to the platform. It consists of extremely capable enthusiastic and ambitious professionals and there is a positive cooperative atmosphere. It is important you feel comfortable in a transparent and open team environment where the social aspect is important.

Practical Examples

As Product Owner Platform you will:

Fulfil the role of actively involved fore(wo)man for one or multiple squads with mostly a focus on engineering (very limited nontechnical stakeholders);

Constantly switch between the technical details of the platform and the overarching implications on the entire model;

Provide transparent timely and accurate feedback/updates on planning progress and dependencies. Work with all stakeholders (which are mainly the other 10 squads working on the model) to preagree the content of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR);

Coach your squad on the daytoday business while having a clear view on future plans in relation to the platform (and model) vision.

2 other squads maintaining valuable parts of our platform to closely align with.

Top 3 responsibilities

Maintain and improve the platform in our TM model ecosystem (tech stack contains PySpark DataBricks Azure DevOps);

Set priorities for your squad ensure your squad commits to a realistic quarterly planning and manage risks in a timely manner;

Together with other POs Product Manager Tech Leads and Area Lead outline a vision for the platform in the rapidly expanding TM model landscape.

You and your talent

Academic degree in a technical field (e.g. computer science mathematics econometrics or similar);

5 years of experience as Product Owner/Project Manager or similar role in the field of IT;

Professional experience in leading and developing IT squads;

Confident in having detailed content discussions with team members;

Strong communication skills; concise and topdown communication is highly appreciated;

Ability to quickly understand both technical details and business perspective;

Proactive independent and have a cando mentality to make the difference in fighting financial crime.

Additional information:

All departments are working hybrid;

Suppliers must be aware of the laws and regulations regarding employment conditions and Rabobanks Collective Labour Agreement. This assignment is placed in scale 10;
