Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with a solid background in multiple legal practice areas to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to legal excellence integrity and professionalism. This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling a range of legal and company secretarial functions independently while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive legal research analyze findings and provide actionable insights to support effective decisionmaking within the organization.
- Review draft and interpret a variety of legal documents including contracts and agreements to safeguard the company s interests and ensure legal soundness.
- Draw on experience in at least two legal practice areas such as Fintech Technology Banking and Finance Real Estate or the Downstream Energy Industry to advise on sectorspecific legal matters.
- Maintain a high level of ethical and professional standards in all legal duties and interactions.
- Execute company secretarial functions and legal tasks with minimal supervision demonstrating autonomy and responsibility.
- Stay updated with applicable laws regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and mitigate legal risks.
- Communicate legal advice and information clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally to internal stakeholders.
- Manage highly confidential information with utmost discretion and integrity ensuring the security of sensitive legal data.
Requirements
- Licensed Lawyer in good standing admitted to the Ghana Bar.
- A minimum of 45 years of professional experience in a legal role ideally across multiple legal practice areas.
- Proficient in legal research analysis and documentation.
- Strong skills in drafting and reviewing legal documents with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and legal frameworks in relevant industries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective legal advice delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
