Job Description
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client an established international manufacturing organization is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing team. This position reports directly to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday responsibilities to reduce costs and drive customer fulfillment
- Develop work instructions in order to ensure process controls and quality standards are being met
- Analyze current processes/procedures/technologies for inadequacies and provide substantiated recommendations for improvements
- Identify areas for automation and improved technologies that will drive output and quality
- Utilize Kaizen methodology in implementing process improvement programs
- Implement technical improvements to maximize efficiency and increase productivity
- Ensure improvement strategies are sustainable reduce environmental impact and contribute to continuous improvement
- Monitor and adjust workflows labor routings and control plans in order to increase productivity
- Collaborate with various departments in product and process development
- Review and approve drawings in a timely manner assist with drawing changes and ensure deadlines/goals are on target
- Conduct daily triage reports and implement action plans that will drive customer fulfillment initiatives
- Identify and implement costsaving initiatives
- Design fixtures tooling etc. in SolidWorks
- Maintain a thorough understanding and implementation of Lean Six Sigma principles and OSHA regulations
- Complete special projects when needed
- Work well independently as well as part of a team ensuring clear communication between departments when addressing manufacturing challenges and determining solutions
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time direct hire
- 100% inoffice
- $85000 $95000 annually depending on experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
- 57 years Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Proficient computer skills SolidWorks Infor SAP
- Strong technical skills welding large assembly machining processes
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Selfmotivated
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Relocation not available
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
