Job Description

Your Role

We are hiring a Senior Application Engineer to support IT system management and drive system optimization and maintenance needs.

This role will focus on improving and maintaining critical systems used in regulated industries ensuring timely delivery of projects and addressing production support issues. Successful candidates will have strong IT background within pharmaceutical research and development or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee required IT systems driving effective system optimization and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop project strategies timelines and technical roadmaps ensuring alignment on evolving business requirements.
  • Manage the endtoend lifecycle of system implementations ensuring solutions meet both functional and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering technical reviews and testing in collaboration with external vendors and internal teams.
  • Conduct impact assessments of existing functionality and provide technical direction for new system features.
  • Review and validate technical specifications providing feedback to optimize scalability and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate successful system roll outs.
  • Monitor and resolve production issues ensuring the timely resolution of support tickets and system incidents.
  • Manage and track change requests ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with compliance teams to ensure that all system changes adhere to industry regulations and standards.
  • Support audits and maintain documentation to ensure ongoing compliance in a highly regulated environment.
  • Ensure project milestones are met by coordinating crossfunctional teams managing timelines and driving delivery.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT systems management specifically in the R&D or clinical sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IT change management processes.
  • Experience in business analysis and project management is a plus.
  • Experience with Veeva systems particularly in clinical and regulatory environments.
  • Proficiency in IT Service Management systems (e.g. ServiceNow) identity management tools and integration technologies such as APIbased solutions.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) processes particularly in regulated environments.
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI) and relational databases.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to support Pacific or Central Standard Times working hours.

Adhering to the requirements of Californias law on salary transparency the salary bracket for this role is set between $135000 $155000 annually. The offered salary may be adjusted based on various factors such as the applicants qualifications skills and professional experience.
