Reporting to the Housekeeping Leadership Team responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Consistently offers professional engaging and friendly service.
- Perform colleague uniform fittings and ongoing alterations to ensure all colleagues look professional and crisp in their uniform.
- Press and/or steam uniforms or other items and sort to their appropriate area.
- Ensure uniform room is well organized at all times. Logging and filling in uniform information keeping an updated uniform inventory file as well as keeping track of seasonal items.
- Perform minor repair to Managers clothing upon request.
- Perform pressing duties and minor repairs to guest items as needed.
- Receive and review all incoming drycleaning for guests and colleagues.
- Receive guest drycleaning from outside contract and crossreferencing invoices with a physical check of items received.
- Properly prepare the drycleaning to be sent back up to each guest room.
- Perform minor repairs to items in guestrooms or public spaces such as but not limited to curtains and furniture.
- Make custom pieces for projects as required.
- Follow equipment safety guidelines.
- Adhere to Fairmont Chteau Laurier policies procedures and standards.
Qualifications :
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- Must have a minimum 2 years tailor or seamstress experience in a professional setting.
- Schedule flexibility including evenings/weekends.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision.
- Must have a minimum 2 years seamstress experience in a professional setting.
