The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the hotels sales and revenue strategies to maximize profitability. This role requires creating managing and executing strategies to grow revenue across rooms events and other services. The Director of Sales will oversee the sales team foster client relationships and position the hotel as a premier destination in the market.
Qualifications :
Educational Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration Marketing or a related field.
- MBA or Masters degree (preferred but not always required) in Business or a relevant field.
Experience
- 37 years of experience in hotel sales business development or a related field.
- 3 years in a leadership role within the hospitality or hotel sales industry demonstrating successful management of teams and revenue strategies.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and hotel management software such as Opera SIAPP Realta
- Strong understanding of revenue management principles and tools including yield management and competitive market analysis.
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Industry Knowledge
- Indepth knowledge of hospitality market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Understanding of local and regional markets that impact hotel demand such as corporate clients events and tourism.
