As a Pastry Cook at Fairmont Chateau Whistler you will be a key member of our culinary team and work seamlessly with the wider food and beverage team to ensure excellent products for our guests!
Starting Rate of Pay: Pastry First Cook: $23.90 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years.
Job Duties Include:
- Prepare cook and service all food items for a la carte buffet menus and individual dishes
- Organize and manage buffets and banquets manage kitchen operations
- Have full knowledge of all menus items daily features and promotions
- Ensure proper labeling dating and storage of all items in the kitchen
- Maintain inventory and records of food supplies and equipment
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances and handle guest allergy concerns with appropriate care and importance
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in the culinary field required
- Journeymans papers or international equivalent an asset
- Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline required
