Our client a top distribution service company is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm
- Evaluate business and technological areas to create realistic logical and physical data models.
- Build data models that are adaptable to changing business requirements.
- Establish modeling standards rules best practices and authorized modeling approaches.
- Combine several logical source models into a single logically coherent enterprise model.
- Identify key corporate data assets based on the informations business decision risk mitigation or organizational effect.
- Establish Master Data Management for key data assets and reference data and chair the stewardship committee.
- Develop and administer data governance practices.
- Lead data integration business intelligence and corporate information management efforts by streamlining data processing to enable reuse.
- Create data storage such as warehouses data lakes and data marts to support business intelligence activities.
- Collect and identify the different metadata assets.
- Provide data architectural best practices and recommendations as well as a model of the future state.
- Ensure that important information assets modeled as part of any project are represented in the enterprise information architecture (EIA) and adhere to the EIAs design principles and criteria.
- Provide thought leadership in database architecture data modelling security integration mining and advanced analytics approaches.
Requirements
- Bacherlors degree in Computer Science or related engineering field
- At least 5 years of conceptual logical and physical modeling experience with a focus on rationalizing data objects.
- Proven ability to manage data migrations across software packages and bespoke applications.
- The ability to determine the worth of a data asset to the organization.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders analysts and data stewards to determine whether the model is appropriate for usage.
- Experienced working in Linux systems with opensource software technologies.
- Experienced with the ETL ELT and DAD procedures.
- Extensive experience with multidimensional data modeling start schemas snowflakes normalized and denormalized modes and Kimball techniques.
- Strong negotiating and consensusbuilding skills.
- Able to travel up to 20% both internationally and domestically.
- Capable of performing vital work responsibilities.
- Experience working with opensource Linuxbased technologies is a plus
- Verifiable track record of developing an enterprise analytics capability from scratch.
- Have experience in constructing data warehouses and data lakes.
