Lead the aerothermal team in the aerodynamic and thermal design and analysis of launch vehicles including external and internal flow simulations wind tunnel experiments stage separation analysis and heat transfer analysis.
Establish robust analysis methodologies using existing and opensource CFD software for both external and internal flow simulations.
Build and manage a highcapacity team ensuring timely execution of projects in relevant areas of work.
Demonstrate strong systemlevel thinking and provide design recommendations based on simulation results.
Produce highquality documentation for all assigned work.
Preferred skills and experience:
Master s or Ph.D. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong foundational understanding of aerodynamics aeroacoustics heat transfer and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
Experience in wind tunnel experiments related to launch vehicles or aircraft.
Experience in unsteady CFD including URANS/LES modelling for external and internal flow simulations.
Proficiency with opensource CFD tools such as OpenFoam or SU2 for external and internal flow simulations.
Experience in aeroacoustics simulations using empirical methods and higherorder numerical techniques.
Handson experience with the complete CFD process (preprocessing solver setup and postprocessing) for external aerodynamics and heat transfer applications.
Proficient in computational fluid dynamics software (preferably ANSYS Fluent or CFD).
Proficient in at least one programming language such as MATLAB Python or Shell for workflow automation and data postprocessing.
Experience working in a Linux environment with shell scripting.
Ability to work independently in a fastpaced rapidly changing environment.
Full Time
