Job Description
We re searching for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join a worldleading technology company serving the global travel industry. Working with one of the most dynamic environments in the field you ll have a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure supporting a platform that powers travel experiences for millions worldwide.
In this role you ll be essential to the team s success by enhancing the stability scalability and security of a complex infrastructure. Youll work on an environment integrating cuttingedge solutions like Citrix XenApp VMware ESXi Cisco UCS and a mix of Windows and Linux operating systems supporting both onpremise and data center locations. This position offers the chance to grow within a hightech landscape while collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure seamless performance and innovation.
- Collaborate with Product and Development teams to maintain a robust infrastructure ensuring it can meet both functional and nonfunctional business requirements.
- Deploy support and manage server hardware (Cisco UCS) and software environments primarily Citrix and VMware.
- Provide handson support for the Vienna office and an external data center troubleshooting and managing upgrades.
- Partner with top vendors to acquire new hardware manage contracts and oversee maintenance renewals.
- Lead the planning and management of infrastructure changes to support growth and manage costs effectively.
- Be the goto escalation point for complex technical issues and play a pivotal role in ongoing infrastructure enhancement projects.
Requirements
What You ll Bring:
- A proactive mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and think ahead.
- Flexibility strong work ethics and attention to detail able to balance multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in German and English.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years of handson experience with Cisco UCS VMware Citrix XenApp Windows and Linux.
- Demonstrated success in managing vendor relationships and hardware contracts.
