Job Summary:
Citykart Pvt Ltd is seeking a creative and experienced Mens Knit Fashion Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing mens knitwear collections with a focus on trendsetting designs that appeal to a diverse customer base. This role requires a keen understanding of current fashion trends fabrics and market dynamics with the ability to translate these insights into commercially successful knitwear collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development: Create innovative and trendy designs for mens knitwear including sweaters tshirts and other knitbased apparel.
Trend Research: Conduct market research and analyze global trends to keep designs fresh and relevant to the target audience.
Technical Knowledge: Select appropriate fabrics colors and trims and ensure designs meet the required quality standards.
Sketching & Prototyping: Produce design sketches and work closely with sampling teams to create prototypes.
Collaboration: Work with crossfunctional teams including merchandising sourcing and production to align designs with Citykarts brand vision and business objectives.
Product Development: Follow through on designs from concept to production ensuring samples and final products meet design and quality expectations.
Cost Optimization: Ensure designs are produced within budgetary constraints while maintaining highquality standards.
Market Adaptation: Adapt global design trends to the Indian market balancing creativity with commercial appeal.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in Fashion Design Apparel Design Textile Design or a related field.
Experience: 25 years of experience specifically in men s knitwear design.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator Photoshop CorelDRAW) and understanding of textile technologies.
Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the men s fashion market particularly in knitwear.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in design color and material choices.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating experience and creativity in men s knitwear design is required.
