We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Workday HR System AMS (Application Management Services) Consultant to join our global team collaborating closely with our headquarters in Japan. In this role you will support the ongoing enhancement troubleshooting and maintenance of our Workday HR platform ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration across our HR operations worldwide. This role requires expertise in Workday HR systems a strong understanding of HR processes and the ability to work effectively in a crosscultural team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday HR System Support:
- Provide AMS support for the Workday HR system addressing issues performing system maintenance and implementing updates
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure system functionality meets the needs of various regions with particular focus on alignment with headquarters in Japan
Enhancement and Customization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization leveraging Workday features and customizations
- Configure and deploy enhancements in Workday modules including Core HR Payroll Talent Management Compensation and others as needed
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
- Diagnose and resolve system issues in a timely manner coordinating with the ITand HR teams globally
- Provide detailed documentation of solutions and maintain records of all system changes and updates
Collaboration with Japan HQ:
- Work closely with Japan headquarters to align system functionality and processes with corporate HR standards and requirements
- Communicate effectively in Japanese (preferred) to support seamless interaction with Japanesespeaking stakeholders.
Training and Documentation:
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions for endusers as needed to ensure effective use of the Workday HR system
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation including workflows data dictionaries and standard operating procedures
Project Management and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead or participate in Workdayrelated projects such as module rollouts or regional customizations coordinating across different time zones
- Monitor system performance and initiate continuous improvement measures in line with business requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Information Systems Human Resources or related field
- 3 years of experience in Workday HR systems with a focus on AMS support or HRIS administration
- Proficiency in Workday Core HR and Integration with additional experience in modules such as Payroll Talent Management or Recruitment
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills in a fastpaced global environment
- Strong communication skills; Japanese language proficiency is highly preferred to support collaboration with Japan headquarters
- Experience working with international crossfunctional teams and ability to coordinate across different time zones
Preferred Skills:
- Workday certification in HCM core or integration
- Familiarity with Japanese HR practices and regulations
- Experience in project management or business analysis in HR technology projects
