Job Description
About the Role:
We re looking for an Interiors Drafter to support the MLI design team with precise interior architecture drafting. You ll create detailed floor plans elevations sections and 3D renderings to bring design concepts to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed & Presentable Drawings: Produce accurate decorative floor plans elevations sections and joinery.
- Details for residential and multiresidential projects with clear dimensions codes and schedules.
- Staircase Drafting: Draft multilevel staircases ensuring code compliance.
- Joinery Documentation: Create custom joinery documentation with precise specs for appliances fixtures
- and clearances.
- Bathroom Design: Develop bathroom layouts including plumbing and tile setouts.
- Convert Hand Sketches: Translate handdrawn sketches and instructions into precise CAD drawings.
- Review & Interpret Architectural Plans: Analyze architectural plans to accurately source information needed
- for interior drafting.
- Team Collaboration: Work with MLI designers to refine functional designs.
- 3D Renderings: Produce 3D visuals to convey design ideas.
- File Management: Organise Vectorworks files; import and clean DWGs.
- Compliance: Adhere to building codes and industry standards.
- Feedback Integration: Update drawings per client and team input.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on design trends materials and standards.
Requirements
Qualifications Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in residential interior design practice.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in interior drafting.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks is essential; experience with SketchUp is a plus.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with design teams and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Knowledge of building codes regulations and materials relevant to interior design.
- Familiarity with graphic presentation tools and techniques is advantageous.

Setup and Location: WFH
Work Schedule: 9:00 AM6:00 PM (AEST) 6:00 AM3:00 PM (PH Time)

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Technical: At least 5-7 years + postgraduate experience. Bachelor of Structural or Civil Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia essential. High level of competence in the use of Strand7 (nice-to-have), and Space Gass (required). Highly skilled at producing neat, auditable, hand calculation and calculations in Microsoft Excel, Mathcad or similar software. Ability to create engineering reports. Experienced in designing to AS4100 and relevant Australian Standards (must-have). Competence in using Permissible Stress techniques for analysis as well as Limit State Design techniques. Experience with the design of Industrial structures is desirable e.g. large workshops, material handling, and processing plants; High degrees of competence in the design of concrete and steel structures. Strong organisational and system ability that is following structures for work flows, numbering and filing. Highly competent problem solver. Sound understanding of construction principles and methods. Personal: Ability to deliver quality projects concurrently in an efficient manner. Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written. Team player, experienced with multi-disciplinary teams. Nice to Haves: CPEng or eligible. Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ), or eligible. Experience in working for engineering consultancies. Experience in studies and the level of design required for these. Understanding in the design of mine site structures such as conveyors, process plant structures, materials handling structures and large workshops. Experience in reviewing and modifying existing structures for upgrades and or remediation.
