Job Description

ilert helps companies to respond faster to incidents and increase the availability of digital services. Our mission is to keep the world always on. Customers from all industries worldwide rely on ilert for alerting oncall management and incident communication. We address a fundamental need of companies that offer 24/7 services.

We are seeking a dedicated Product Owner to join our team. In this role you will work closely with our CEO who currently leads product strategy to translate the product vision into actionable tasks for our engineering team. Your primary focus will be on managing the product backlog creating detailed user stories and ensuring that our development efforts align with customer needs and business objectives.

Tasks

Backlog Management

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog based on the product roadmap and strategic goals.

  • Ensure transparency of the backlog items to all stakeholders.

    User Story Development

  • Write clear concise user stories with welldefined acceptance criteria.

  • Break down complex features into manageable tasks for the engineering team.

Sprint Planning and Execution

  • Collaborate with the engineering team during sprint planning to define goals and deliverables.
  • Take ownership of our sprint planning meeting

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison between the CEO (product strategy) and the engineering team.
  • Provide regular updates on development progress and gather feedback.

Quality Assurance

  • Validate completed work against acceptance criteria and ensure it meets the products quality standards.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and incorporate feedback into future sprints.

Process Improvement

  • Continuously evaluate and improve product development processes.
  • Implement best practices in our development process

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of managing software products from conception to launch.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and their core principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate highlevel product ideas into detailed technical requirements.
  • Proficiency with product management tools
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS company especially in the DevOps sector.
  • Familiarity with incident response alerting systems or related technologies.
  • Technical background or experience working closely with software development teams.
