You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReporting to the Department Head of Mathematics, the Assistant Professor should be an experienced educator with creative and innovating skills, capable of effectively planning, developing, and delivering courses in all areas of the undergraduate curriculum, especially first- and third-year statistics and research methods courses within UDST’s College of General Education. We are seeking an exceptional educator and researcher who excels in teaching and scholarship, actively mentors’ students, contributes to institutional and community service, collaborates across disciplines, and pursues professional development initiatives.
A strong research record (publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, or a demonstrated trajectory of research activity) with the ability to carry out independent and collaborative research.
Ability to apply statistical methods to solve real-world problems in fields such as healthcare, social sciences, business, engineering, or environmental science.
Expertise in quantitative research methodologies and experience with research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
Teaching & Pedagogical Skills:
A passion for teaching and the ability to communicate complex statistical concepts clearly and effectively to students from diverse academic backgrounds.
Experience in teaching or assisting in the teaching of introductory and advanced statistics courses, such as probability, statistical inference, regression analysis, survey sampling, and statistical computing.
Ability to design engaging course materials, including syllabi, lectures, problem sets, and lab exercises that help students understand and apply statistical concepts.
