You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe primary role of the faculty members at the College of Computing and IT is to promote high-quality innovative teaching, applied research, and service. Besides, he/she should collaborate with the Head of Department, Dean, and the colleagues to achieve the college's mission, mentor junior colleagues, and teaching assistants, and support the department and the college with several administrative and academic services.
Cybersecurity Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including threat analysis, risk management, network security, encryption, security protocols, and malware analysis.
Proficiency in the use of various cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools, and VPN technologies.
Knowledge of ethical hacking methodologies, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and exploit development.
Familiarity with cloud security, IoT security, and mobile security to address emerging cybersecurity concerns.
Experience in cyber threat intelligence and the ability to analyze and respond to current security incidents and attacks (e.g., ransomware, phishing).
Teaching & Instructional Design:
Strong ability to develop and deliver curricula for both beginner and advanced-level cybersecurity courses.
Familiarity with creating course materials, such as presentations, labs, reading assignments, and assessments.
Experience in delivering content across multiple platforms, such as in-person, virtual classrooms, and eLearning environments.
Ability to demonstrate real-world applications of cybersecurity concepts using hands-on labs, simulations, and case studies to enhance student learning.
Skilled in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas to deliver content, track student progress, and grade assignments.
