Job Description
Position Overview
The company seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in highend restaurant projects for a GC in South Florida. The ideal candidate is a longterm handson professional with a stable work history and experience managing subcontractors quality control and maintaining project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Project Communication & Coordination
Partner with Project Manager Project Coordinator and Project Executive; ensure all communications include relevant team members.
Maintain clear professional emails with concise language and project details.
PreConstruction & Permits
Secure and manage permits coordinating with subcontractors and monitoring for accuracy.
Verify site measurements align with plans and document any discrepancies; facilitate the permit process in Procore.
Schedule Management & Subcontractor Oversight
Develop and uphold a realistic project schedule keeping subcontractors informed and aligned with milestones.
Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings and track task durations to meet project timelines.
Daily OnSite Supervision
Remain onsite to ensure safe secure operations; plan work two weeks in advance to coordinate trade scheduling.
Oversee subcontractor layout marking all control lines accurately and managing benchmark elevations.
Documentation & Quality Control
Regularly update daily logs change orders and maintain a clear organization of project documents in Procore.
Verify installations meet design and code standards reporting any issues and conducting thorough inspections.
Safety & Cleanliness
Lead weekly safety meetings ensuring compliance and maintaining a clean organized job site.
Record daily activities manage site cleanliness and enforce cleanup protocols with subcontractors.
Finishing & Closeout
Schedule final inspections ensure completion of punch lists and prepare for project closeout.
Facilitate final documentation and asbuilt drawings verifying all work meets RCC standards.
Must Haves
Local Experience: Proven track record as a Superintendent for GCled highend restaurant projects.
Stability: Demonstrable longevity with previous employers; no frequent job changes.
Compensation and Benefits
OT Premium: Additional compensation for OT hours worked over 40 hours/week
Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursed at $0.67/mile for eligible travel
