The client is seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in RESTful API. In this role you will understand user needs design custom API integrations document API flows define product requirements and collaborate with software development teams to deliver seamless and efficient integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specify and document API requirements including endpoint structure request and response formats authentication methods error handling and rate limiting.
- Design and document API flows for custom integrations between software products ensuring robust and efficient solutions that meet stakeholder requirements.
- Utilize Postman to review test and troubleshoot API endpoints ensuring integrations function as expected and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with software development teams facilitating smooth communication and mutual understanding of technical requirements.
- Write clear comprehensive API documentation including specifications technical details and guidelines for usage.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (Hiring Companies ATS Questions):
1. Do you have 510 years of experience in a business analyst or related role ideally with a focus on APIs or platform products with substantial involvement in software development projects.
2. Do you have strong understanding of API design principles RESTful protocols webhooks authentication methods and tokenbased authorization.
3. Do you have handson experience working with API testing tools such as Postman and familiarity with API documentation standards.
4. Do you have the ability to write clear and comprehensive product requirements including endpoint structures payloads and error responses.
5. Do you have the proven ability to design and specify custom integrations using RESTful protocols.
6. Do you have good written communication skills particularly in writing clear organized and useful API documentation.
7. Do you have understanding of RDBMS microservices cloud infrastructure including containerization cloud computing API gateways cloud storage and other relevant technologies. Preferred
8. Do you have knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in a fastpaced iterative product development environment. Preferred
