You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs an AC Technician you are responsible to install, service and repair temperature and air quality control systems and your role will include key responsibilities such as:
Repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel - freezer, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, chiller, etc.
Maintain preventively all air-conditioning and refrigeration systems within the hotel
Check on performance of refrigeration systems and components
Verify all door closing systems on walk in coolers / freezer (door gaskets / latches)
Check and maintain all defrosting systems and automation of ice makers
Work on maintenance requests from all departments
Ensure routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters
Check on performance of air-conditioning and chill water systems
Cooperate with all engineering colleagues in detention of failures of air-condition and refrigeration system and function set up
Strict control on venting of CFC’s to atmosphere
Overhauling of air-condition / refrigeration equipment and systems
Check all refrigeration and oil levels and control of major repairs
Cooperate and inform Engineering Storekeeper on purchase of parts
Carry out all works as per the country technical regulations and safety standards
Install, maintain, and repair various air conditioning units and systems.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with AC systems.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure efficient operation of HVAC systems.
Work with customers to explain technical issues and provide cost-effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling.
Maintain accurate service records and reports.
Must have the appropriate documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
One year operating experience in a hotel engineering department.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
VRF/VRV system experience is a plus.
Air Conditioning Systems: In-depth knowledge of various types of AC systems (central air conditioning, split AC, window units, VRF/VRV systems, etc.).
Installation: Ability to install AC units and systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Maintenance: Skills to perform regular maintenance on AC systems, such as cleaning filters, coils, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical components.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Ability to diagnose and fix issues related to refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, compressor failures, etc.
Electrical Knowledge: Familiarity with wiring, circuit boards, electrical components, and safety protocols.
Refrigerants and Cooling Fluids: Knowledge of different refrigerants (e.g., R-22, R-410A) and handling procedures.
HVAC Controls: Familiarity with thermostats, sensors, and other control systems.
Piping & Ductwork: Experience in laying pipes, ductwork installation, and insulation.
