Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk/Welcomer (Part Time/Zero Hour Contract)to join our team in Southampton United Kingdom. As the first point of contact for our guests you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring efficient front desk operations.

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival providing a positive first impression
  • Handle checkin and checkout procedures efficiently and accurately
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally
  • Manage room reservations assignments and status updates
  • Assist guests with information about local attractions dining options and transportation
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle phone calls emails and other communications in a timely manner
  • Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure the lobby and reception area are clean organized and presentable at all times
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve guest issues and enhance overall experience
  • Maintain security awareness and follow established safety procedures
  • Respond to guest reviews and request
  • Ensure proper invoicing and banking
  • Handles the breakfast setup and snacks and drinks sales
  • Any other AdHoc

Qualifications :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and hotel management software
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in highpressure situations
  • Demonstrated versatility and initiative in responding to guest requests
  • Friendly and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of the local area and popular attractions in Southampton
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitalityrelated education is a plus
  • Previous experience in a customerfacing role preferably in hospitality is advantageous
