Job Description

This is a remote position.

The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support for computer systems software and hardware within the organization. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues performing system maintenance and working closely with other IT professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The position requires a strong understanding of IT systems troubleshooting techniques and excellent communication skills to effectively support endusers in a timely manner.

  • Provide technical support and assistance to endusers responding to requests via phone email and inperson to resolve hardware software and network issues.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems escalating more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
  • Install configure and maintain computer systems software applications printers and other peripherals ensuring all equipment functions correctly.
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure including network connectivity servers and workstations performing routine checks and updates as required.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure IT systems are aligned with the organization s goals and provide input on improving IT services.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests resolutions and system changes using a ticketing system to track and manage tasks effectively.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of user accounts permissions and passwords ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including user guides support procedures and troubleshooting steps to improve user knowledge and support efficiency.
  • Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest technologies IT support tools and best practices; participate in training sessions as needed.
  • Provide input on enhancing IT support processes tools and methodologies to increase efficiency and improve the user experience.
  • Support software deployment updates and patches ensuring all systems are kept uptodate and secure from vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in managing IT inventory including hardware software licenses and other equipment ensuring accurate tracking and proper allocation.
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery operations ensuring data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
  • Engage with endusers to provide training on basic IT and softwarerelated topics promoting best practices for using technology resources.
  • Ensure that IT support activities comply with organizational policies industry standards and data privacy regulations.
  • Support IT projects and initiatives as needed contributing to the planning implementation and testing of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with the security team to identify and address potential vulnerabilities implementing measures to safeguard company data.
  • Assist with other IT tasks as needed including maintaining development environments supporting remote workers and managing mobile devices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
