It has a long and extensive history of success. In this role you will have and opportunity to work with all levels of the business and have a dramatic role in project excellence. Our client is seeking a skilled contractor professional to join a dynamic project team tackling an assignment in Fort McMurray AB. If you re a Controls Professional with expertise in PLC systems and SCADA integration this sixmonth contract offers immediate work where you can directly contribute to key system upgrades and troubleshooting.

This Controls Specialist role is a handson opportunity to support a critical controls project at the Fort McMurray site. Key responsibilities include:
- System Programming: Develop implement and test automation programs using iFIX SCADA and Schneider M580 PLCs.
- System Integration: Work with additional systems such as Delta V and Automation Direct to ensure seamless operational integration.
- Field Operations: Conduct onsite programming testing and troubleshooting to support reliable and efficient system performance.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Coordinate with onsite teams preparing reports on system performance troubleshooting processes and continuous improvements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional individual and possess the following qualifications:
- PLC & SCADA Expertise: Intermediate experience with iFIX SCADA and Schneider M580 PLCs with knowledge of Delta V and Automation Direct preferred.
- Onsite Availability: Willingness to work a 5dayson/2daysoff rotation at the Fort McMurray site.
- Technical ProblemSolving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities especially for onsite commissioning.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with internal teams and adapt to shifting project demands.
