Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering team in designing and developing advanced systems and equipment. In this role you will be at the forefront of engineering innovation overseeing complex projects and ensuring that all designs and systems meet our safety efficiency and quality standards. You will play a key role in shaping our engineering strategies and optimizing our processes.
Key Responsibilities
System Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate existing mechanical systems equipment and processes to identify areas for improvement focusing on safety efficiency and productivity. Provide expert recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements.
Project Leadership: Lead a team of engineers guiding them in the design development and implementation of new systems or modifications to existing systems. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and technical excellence.
Design and Planning: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to conceptualize and design highquality systems that align with project objectives. Develop detailed project plans including cost and time estimates to ensure timely and withinbudget project completion.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the testing and validation phases to ensure new designs and changes meet required specifications and standards. Participate actively in troubleshooting and adjusting systems based on test results.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of all engineering processes including designs project plans progress reports and performance metrics. Generate detailed documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Mentorship and Development: Mentor junior engineers providing guidance on best practices in mechanical engineering and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards safety regulations and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols as needed.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field is required; a masters degree is preferred.
Certifications: FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) and PE (Professional Engineer) certifications are highly desired.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a proven track record of leading engineering projects and teams.
Skills:
Leadership: Strong leadership and teambuilding skills with experience in mentoring and guiding a diverse team of engineers.
Technical Proficiency: Indepth knowledge of mechanical design analysis and simulation software. Familiarity with CAD FEA and other engineering tools.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to various stakeholders.
ProblemSolving: Proven ability to analyze complex systems identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions.
Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively with colleagues across engineering production and project management departments.
Attention to Detail: Strong focus on detail accuracy and quality in all engineering tasks.
