A wellfunded AI research and development company is seeking candidates with strong chemistry knowledge and problemsolving abilities. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of chemistry particularly at the Engineering Entrance Exam or Engineering College level. The role involves working with multimodal data (text chemical structures reaction mechanisms etc.) so familiarity with various formats is crucial. You should be capable of solving complex problems explaining solutions clearly and working efficiently under time constraints.
What does daytoday look like: You would spend time solving a variety of advanced high school chemistry problems including those at the advanced chemistry level and creating detailed explanations. Youll also be working with multimodal data integrating text with chemical structures reaction mechanisms and other visual aids. Here are a couple of examples of the types of problems you might encounter:
Analyze and explain the steps in a complex organic reaction mechanism providing both textual explanations and annotated chemical structures.
Solve a problem involving chemical equilibrium accompanied by visual representations of reaction progress and energy diagrams and explain the process using both text and visual aids.
Address challenging problems involving stoichiometry thermodynamics organic chemistry and electrochemistry typical of Engineering Entrance Exam or Engineering College level questions utilizing a combination of textual visual and diagrammatic explanations.
Note: A strong foundation in high school chemistry is required but no other specialized domain experience is needed.
Requirements:
Chemistry Proficiency: Strong skills in general chemistry organic chemistry physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry at the high school/college level.
ProblemSolving Skills: Ability to approach complex chemistry problems systematically and creatively.
Explanation Skills: Capacity to break down solutions into clear understandable steps supported by relevant visual aids and diagrams.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining chemical concepts and multimodal content.
Commitment: We have different models of engagements based on your availability
Technical Setup: Desktop/Laptop with reliable internet connection and necessary software for chemical computations visual content creation and online collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or at least Masters degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Biochemistry or a related field. We are open to candidates who have demonstrated exceptional chemistry skills without a formal degree.
Familiarity with standardized test formats and requirements for Engineering Entrance Exam or Engineering College level.
