You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Plastic Bank, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and reaching out to B2B prospects that align with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) in order to generate new customers for our sustainability solutions. Your role will involve developing a deep understanding of Plastic Bank’s mission, products, and value proposition to effectively communicate our impact-driven solutions to potential clients. The primary goal is to identify, qualify, and close opportunities within industries such as consumer goods, packaging, and retail, driving business benefits through our innovative sustainability solutions.
You will be expected to build and manage a strong sales pipeline, consistently converting opportunities into revenue while maintaining a focus on long-term relationships. Your success will be measured by your ability to grow a base of commissionable billings and contribute to the overall growth of Plastic Bank’s mission to reduce plastic waste and improve lives globally.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive Outreach:
Initiate outbound sales efforts to identify and engage potential customers that match Plastic Bank’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). You will conduct research and outreach to companies across various industries that can benefit from our sustainability solutions, particularly in consumer goods, packaging, and retail.
Lead Qualification & Sales Development:
Qualify leads through discovery calls, understanding their needs, challenges, and goals in order to present how Plastic Bank’s solutions can create value. You will work closely with prospective clients to demonstrate the financial, environmental, and social impact of our offerings.
Sales Execution & Closing:
Convert qualified leads into customers by guiding prospects through the sales process, addressing objections, and finalizing agreements. Your ability to negotiate and close deals effectively will be key to achieving your sales targets and contributing to Plastic Bank’s growth.
Pipeline Management:
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring regular follow-ups and consistent engagement with prospects. You will work with CRM tools to track progress and ensure timely execution of sales strategies, while aiming for continuous improvements in your sales approach.
Product Knowledge & Communication:
Develop a deep understanding of Plastic Bank’s mission, products, and value proposition. Effectively communicate the benefits of our sustainability solutions to potential clients and align them with the needs of their business.
Continuous Improvement:
As a lifelong learner, you will actively seek opportunities for professional growth, whether through formal sales training, self-education, or staying updated on industry trends. You will strive to refine your skills and enhance your sales performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Self-Starter with an Entrepreneurial Mindset:
You are motivated by results, take initiative, and are capable of working independently to exceed expectations. Experience in outbound sales, business development, or a similar role is highly valued.
Experience in Sustainability & Circular Economy (Preferred):
Prior knowledge or experience in sustainability, circular economy, or social enterprises will be a strong advantage, though not required.
Sales Enthusiast:
You enjoy the challenge of outbound sales and thrive on building relationships that lead to meaningful business growth.
Fluency in English:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to engage effectively with prospects.
Technology/Software Sales Experience (Preferred):
1-3 years of experience in IT/technology sales will be beneficial, though not mandatory.
