Job Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Municipal Engineer specializing in land development to join their team. The successful candidate will independently perform moderately complex engineering tasks related to municipal infrastructure and land development projects. This role requires a handson engineer who is adept at planning designing and overseeing the construction of municipal and land development projects while effectively coordinating with clients government agencies and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Computations: Perform moderately complex engineering calculations and analyses in accordance with conventional engineering practices.
- Design & Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering and design documents using computerassisted software. Generate accurate technical specifications reports and other correspondence tailored to a range of audiences.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with government agencies client staff and external professionals to gather necessary design information obtain project approvals and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Standards & Best Practices: Learn and apply company standards regulatory requirements and industry best practices to all aspects of project work.
- Project Management: Lead and manage various tasks and projects ensuring they align with scope schedule and budget expectations. Oversee the creation of construction documents specifications and manage the construction oversight and administration.
- Client Management: Maintain clear communication with clients keeping them informed of project status and managing expectations to ensure satisfaction and successful outcomes.
- Decision Making & Judgment: Exercise discretion and sound judgment in all work tasks ensuring quality and compliance with project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land development engineering. Experience specifically in municipal infrastructure is preferred.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Idaho or the ability to obtain licensure within six months of employment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with engineering software for design and analysis; familiarity with land development project requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills to provide feedback and guidance in a collaborative environment.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated commitment to highquality work and a strong understanding of engineering principles and project management practices.
